Hospital connected devices and pervasive healthcare is highly multifaceted, with many applications focusing on interoperability with the legacy hospital assets, the “traditional hospital”, the security and privacy of sensitive information and the usability of end users. The introduction of “smart hospitals” brings increased patient safety and efficiency. Due to the great number of significant assets at stake (patient life, sensitive personal information and financial resources) information security is a key issue for smart hospitals.
With a comprehensive approach to strengthening Networked Medical Devices (NMD) security inside healthcare domain, research seeks to close the gap in the standard technologies and procedures pertaining to the IT network architecture. The workshop shall assess cutting-edge healthcare cybersecurity strategies with a focus on NMDs and the healthcare providers. The scientific approach will examine a comprehensive cybersecurity challenge addressing:
This workshop will showcase how Europe’s Research and Innovation community is addressing the issues of identity, trust, security, and privacy for networked medical devices including IoMT. The way we address these aspects will impact Europe’s collective resilience against cyber threats so that citizens and businesses can fully benefit from trustworthy and reliable services and digital tools.
The workshop is organized by HORIZON EUROPE SEPTON project as part of its dissemination activities and its primal focus is on the presentation of recent technologies and outcomes as well as identification of synergies between the projects.
In the scope of this workshop, we are interested in the exploration of the concepts, application scenarios, and development of tools. Possible topics for contributions are:
