We invite proposals for workshops to be held in conjunction
with the 4th International Conference on PErvasive Technologies Related
to Assistive Environments (PETRA 2011). We encourage proposals on related topics.
Each workshop proposal will be evaluated according to the value and relevance of its
topic, the expertise and experience of the workshop organizers, and
the workshop's potential for attracting participants and generating
useful results.
Submission Guidelines
A workshop proposal must be authored by at least two organizers, and should contain the following sections:
About the Organizers:
- Name: Organizers full name
- Contact information: Affiliation, job title, postal address, email
address, phone number, URL (if available)
- Brief biography: 100-200 words
- Primary contact: Identify one organizer as the primary contact
About the Workshop:
- Title: Workshop title and acronym
- Abstract: 150-200 words describing the workshop
- Topics and motivation: topics, themes, and areas of
interest. How is the workshop relevant to the conference theme?
- Goals and expected results
- Participants: expected number of participants. Explain
how the workshop will attract attendees.
A Preliminary Call for Workshop Papers:
The workshop call for papers should address the following items:
- Overview of the motivation, topics, and goals
- Deadlines of the workshop
- Submission guidelines and review process
ACM Publicaion:
Accepted workshop papers will be included in both the electronice conference proceedings
and in the ACM Digital Library. For ACM publication, final
versions of each workshop paper will have to be prepared using ACM
formatting, granting ACM copyright and will have to be limited in length of eight pages
(full paper) or four pages (short paper)
How to Submit:
Workshop proposals must be sent via email to the Workshop Chair Dr. Dimitrios Kosmopoulos at
dkosmo@iit.demokritos.gr, and must be received before
December 15, 2010. Notifications to submitters will before December 31, 2010.
