Proceedings

The conference is announced in ACM Calendar of Events

ACM will be the publisher of the proceedings of the PETRA conference and the conference proceedings will be a volume in the ACM International Conference Proceedings Series in the ACM Digital Library. Authors should use the ACM Word or LaTeX style templates to prepare their articles. See:

Authors should apply ACM Computing Classification categories and terms. The Classification Scheme can be found at: http://www.acm.org/class/1998/

Submitted papers should be up to 8 pages. Papers may be accepted either as full papers (8 pages), short papers (4 pages) and posters (2 pages).

Camera Ready Paper Submission

1. Citation Information on the First Page of Your Paper

You must include a citation block on the first page of your paper as outlined below.

Include in the lower left hand corner of the first page (use Times New Roman or Times font, size 8, for the Standard Copyright Statement. Please see the ACM template for an example of how it's done.)

2. Copyright Form

ACM offers an automated copyright form collection system for ACM published proceedings. Accepted authors will be sent the ACM form and complete instructions.

To initiate the automated copyright form system, please submit following information in a .csv file together with your camera ready paper :
""Paper Type", "Title", "Lead Author;Author2;Author3;etc.", "Lead Author e-mail","yourPaperNo"

  1. "Paper Type" : Please include one of the following paper types (only) for each of the submissions:
    • Abstract
    • Demo
    • Extended Abstract
    • Full Paper
    • Invited Talk Abstract
    • Invited Talk Paper
    • Panel
    • Poster Paper
    • Short Paper
    • Tutorial
  2. "Title": Please include the paper title as it will appear in the proceedings.
  3. "Author": Please list the lead author first, and include all contributing authors, separated by semicolons
  4. "Lead Author email": Please provide the e-mail address for the lead author. The lead author will be sent the copyright form and be asked to endorse the form on behalf of all contributing authors.
  5. "yourPaperNo": Your submission ID

3. Submission

Please include the following documents and compress them into one zip file in your final submission.Submission deadline for PETRA main conference: April 10, 2010

  1. The PDF of the camera ready paper. The file name should be paperID-firstauthorlastname.pdf
  2. The source document of the camera ready paper (Word or Latex).
  3. The .csv file as described in above section (Copyright Form) .
NOTE: Please make sure select "ZIP" format when you upload the zip file to the submission system.

Journal Issues

Personal and Ubiquitous Computing

  • The Journal of Personal and Ubiquitous Computing Journal will be hosting a Special Issue with papers from the PETRA08 conference. A new CFP for a Special Issue with best papers from the PETRA09 and PETRA10 conference will be announced soon.

  • Universal Access in the Information Society will be hosting a Special Issue with papers from the PETRA10 conference.

  • Selected papers will be included into a special issue on International Journal of Functional Informatics and Personalized Medicine - IJFIPM.

  • Selected papers will be included into a special issue on Human Technology: An Interdisciplinary Journal on Humans in ICT Environments

  • Selected posters will appear at eJeta.
