Paper Submissions

Accepted papers will be presented at the conference and will appear in the conference proceedings. For the accepted papers, at least one author must register as the presenter by the early registration deadline to be included in the proceedings. All authors of accepted papers will be invited to submit extended versions of their papers to MDPI Technologies Journal's Topical Collection for free of charge.

Preparing Your Submission

Quick facts:

  • We will be using The ACM Publication System (TAPS) process to generate final multi-format representations of accepted papers.
  • The correct template for submission for review is: single column Word Submission Template and single column LaTeX (using “manuscript” style available in the template).
  • Proceedings process and template download: link here.
  • New ACM template tutorial link.
  • Final Submission and TAPS tutorial link.

Authors will use ACM Master Article templates and prepare their manuscript in single column format using Word or LaTeX for review. A critical aspect of this change is that what the reviewers see during the review process (single column) is different from how the final publications will appear (which will include multi-representations including a traditional two-column PDF).

Please use the latest version of the Primary Article Template - LaTeX (1.80; published October 6, 2021) to create your article submission. Use the “manuscript” call to create a single column format. Please review the LaTeX documentation and the content of the ACM LaTeX best practices guide should you have any questions.

As we transition to a new format and publishing process, our goal is to keep the paper length consistent with prior years. However, we realize that it is hard to estimate these lengths when working with the single-column submission format. We recommend that authors consult ACM’s guide for estimating formatted page length. Please refer Section 5 of the workflow here, which provides estimates for different combinations of word, figure, and table counts. We ask that authors do their best to use these estimates to prepare their papers.

Final Submission Page limit (including references) :
  • Full papers: 5-10 pages
  • Short papers: 3-4 pages
  • Poster papers: 1-2 pages
  • Workshop papers: 3-10 pages

PETRA Conference uses a single-blind review process. On average, there will be three reviews per paper. For submission deadlines, please visit the deadlines page.

During the submission process, you can select via a dropdown menu whether you are submitting Full Paper, Short Paper, Poster Paper, or Workshop Paper.

This submission system is only for the review process.

Submission System

Camera-Ready Submission Guide

  • 1. ACM's Computing Classification System (CCS)
  • 2. Copyright Statement
  • 3. Final Manuscript Submission

1. ACM's Computing Classification System (CCS)

An important aspect of preparing your paper for publication is to provide the proper indexing and retrieval information from the ACM Computing Classification System (CCS). ACM provides a handy tool that you can generate the proper terms as a LaTeX code and Word text. More information are available at https://www.acm.org/publications/class-2012.

2. Copyright Statement on the First Page of Your Paper

You must include the rights management statement and bibliographic strip on the bottom of the left column, on the first page. After the acceptance of your paper, you will received an email with a link that guides you how to complete the copy-rights form. The standard ACM copy-rights statement should be similar, but not necessary identical, to the following:
Permission to make digital or hard copies of all or part of this work for personal or classroom use is granted without fee provided that copies are not made or distributed for pro t or commercial advantage and that copies bear this notice and the full citation on the rst page. Copyrights for components of this work owned by others than ACM must be honored. Abstracting with credit is permitted. To copy otherwise, or republish, to post on servers or to redistribute to lists, requires prior speci c permission and/or a fee. Request permissions from permissions@acm.org.
